Immersion

Immersion

We offer twice a year (April - September) both, a 2-week and a 1-month Program. The exact date of start will be announced at HOME "IKARA NEWS". Immersion Programs include the following workshops: Anatomy, Ayurveda, Yoga Philosophy, Pranayama, Meditation, Chanting Mantras among others.  These Programs are recommended for students that already have a established Yoga practice. You will need at least one month of experience working with another teacher or previously have done 2 weeks of practice with us. Packages including surf lessons and snorkeling trips (as add-ons) are also available.

Immersion 2 weeks (April and September)

  • Opening / Closing Ceremony.
  • Daily Mysore practice.
  • Led Primary Series classes with Vinyasa counting (Monday & Saturday).
  • 1 Intake session.
  • 4 Morning Meditation classes (30 mins each).
  • 2 Chanting meditation sessions with live music.
  • 4 Pranayama classes.
  • Daily Kriyas and Bandhas exercises.
  • Workshops: Ashtanga fundamentals and Inversions.
  • Asana technique, injury prevention and modified poses in case of injuries.
  • 1 group dinner.
  • Mats and props (we recommend bringing your own mat).
  • 1 goodie bag.
  • 1 Print out with relevant information for your practice.
  • Pick up and drop off from airport.
  • Accommodation including welcome drink and complimentary breakfast (fruit salad & granola, tea, coffee & coconut).
  • Diploma that accredited that the student has completed the program.
  • Surf lessons and / or snorkeling trips (as add-ons).

  Immersion 1 month (April and September):

  • Learn Vinyasa counting and the name of the poses in Sanskrit as is taught in all Traditional Ashtanga studio around the world.
  • Understand why is important the Vinyasa counting to be able to enter in a deeper estate.

  •  Learn the fundamentals of the Yoga Philosophy.
  • Work in a small group allowing more personalized interaction between teacher and student.
  • This program will count as pre requisite for the application to study in Mysore, India with Sharath Jois at the SYC. (Study Minimum 2-3 months with an Authorized teacher to be able to apply to the SYC).
